friday creative: love edition #3

today is our third installment in the love edition of friday creative and it is my take on what i think is becoming a popular valentine tradition, valentine fortune cookies. my fortunes include photos of course! and i'm super excited to be bringing you my second pdf today, (see supplies).supplies:
-fortune cookies (homemade or purchased)
-fortunes (here's the pdf)
-tiny photos (index prints work great)
-adhesive
-takeout boxes (optional)

how to:
-start with making fortunes...print out fortunes at 100% on white paper. cut out fortunes and photos from index prints, then adhere photos to fortunes.
-next you need cookies...you can make or purchase. if you want to make them, miss martha has a recipe (find it here) but in my humble opinion, it is a little tricky (though you might be a better baker than me). with store bought ones...wrap the cookie in a damp paper towel and microwave for about 30 seconds (depending on your microwave), then it will be soft enough to unfold and replace the old fortune with your new cute photo fortune. carefully fold back up.
-then package as desired...the takeout boxes are certainly cute, look for them at restaurant supply (and local bellingham girls, check out cash n' carry).
-ta-da!

happy friday!
xo, carly
