mft october 2023 release

The MFT Stamps October release is available right now and it's so FESTIVE!!! I'm excited for you to see it but before you go, I have a card to share!

When I saw the Joy die, I could not wait to make it into a shaker!!!

I colored the background with my favorite red Copics R35 & R37, then added glitter paste on top.

I decorated the front with a few sprigs of holly from the Mini Holly Wreath. It's another amazing die set!!! (I also added some holly die cuts in the shaker with the sequins.)

Head over to the MFT blog to see more of this gorgeous release!

santa's coming to mft stamps...

Santa's coming to MFT Stamps tomorrow with an adorable new release packed with Christmas stamps & dies! I'm excited to share all the cards I've been creating but do you want a sneak peek?

Silly question, of course you do!!!
How cute is that Santa?! He's from the Nicest on the List set. I stamped, die cut and Copic colored him.

Then I paired him with a bold sentiment from the Top-Notch Service set.
Don't forget to pop over to the MFT blog to see more previews of tomorrow's release!

mft cancer awareness release

Have you had a chance to peek at the latest release from MFT Stamps? This cancer awareness collection fills a need we all wish didn't exist with some beautiful & funny sets to support a loved one.

One of my favorites from the set is Awareness Ribbon die set because I knew it would make a wonderful shaker window!

For the background of the shaker, I ink blended three shades of pink ink (Distress Oxide Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo & Picked Raspberry). Then I mixed some Glossy Accents with glitter to make some DIY glitter paste and spread it over the ink blending (you can see the process in action over on my IG today).

The sentiment is from the really beautiful Breast Wishes set

Please pop over to the MFT blog for more inspiration with this release and see how you can make a difference while shopping too!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs!!!

cardmaking for tough times

You hope that you will not need to make & send cards like this but if you do, it helps to have beautiful stamps to use! I'm grateful that MFT Stamps is releasing a new collection today that is funny, beautiful and supports breast cancer research!

For this card I used the Crush Cancer set. I stamped the C word in Distress Oxide Spun Sugar with my MISTI stamping tool. Leaving the stamp in place, I used a blending tool to add Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo & Picked Raspberry to the top part of the stamp before stamping again. I love the ombre look.

After the ink was dry, I added the "sucks" on top and a little faux black splatter with a pen.

Please pop over to the MFT blog to learn more about this release and see how you can make a difference while shopping too!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs!!!

alex syberia designs you are loved release blog hop & giveaway

I am so thrilled to be joining Alex Syberia Designs today to celebrate their latest release! It's so fitting that this collection is all about self-care because cardmaking brings me so much joy and is my favorite form of self-care! (BTW, if you're hopping with us then you should be arriving from Brenda's amazing blog.)

Now before I share some of the cards I made, let's talk about something else fun...prizes!

Alex Syberia Designs is giving away a £85 ($100) gift certificate to 1 lucky winner and a £15 ($18) gift card to 5 winners. Open internationally. All 6 winners will be drawn from the entrants that have played along with this blog hop by midnight BST October 22nd, 2023. Winners will be announced on the Alex Syberia Designs blog Giveaway Winners page on October 23rd, 2023.

Ok now let's talk cards!

You might know that I adore word & phrase dies! I love the way they can complete a card, create patterns and make awesome shaker windows! And there are some gorgeous word & phrase dies in the latest ASD collection!

Contemporary Hello is a perfect basic! Everyone needs this die!!! For this card I ink blended a panel with Distress Oxide inks (Kitsch Flamingo, Saltwater Taffy & Abandoned Coral) and then die cut Hello 5 times. I adhered the hellos on a white card and finished with a cute little sentiment strip from the Expressing Gratitude Sentiments.

Another one of my favorite dies from the new ASD release is You Are Loved. Such a sweet phrase for a handmade card!

And it makes a fab shaker window!!! Behind the shaker window I did a little ink blending (with Saltwater Taffy & Abandoned Coral) and topped it with glitter paste.

Then around the shaker window I stamped a few abstract flowers from the Watercolour Flowers set and added a sentiment with the Expressing Gratitude Sentiments again (love this set).

I have so many more cards to share with this wonderful release but there are so many more fun stops on this hop so you need to get going! Your next stop is Emelie's blog and I know she is going to WOW us!

And here is the whole hop list just in case...

Thanks so much for hopping with us! Hugs!!!

mft gingerbread greetings card kit

The MFT Gingerbread Greetings card kit just hit the MFT shop and it is so much fun!!! I am so excited about all the gingerbread possibilities...cards, ornaments, treat boxes and more! And the Gingerbread House die set also has candy that is cute without gingerbread! In fact I just used the candy on this card...

I stamped my new favorite penguin (from the Gnome for the Holidays set) on a white card and colored it with Copic markers.

Then I die cut a bunch of the candy from white cardstock and ink blended it to add color. For the gumdrops I also added a little liquid glue to the tops and dipped them in glitter.

After all the candy was finished, I adhered it to the card in a "pile" around the penguin.

I finished with a sentiment from the Gingerbread Greetings set and a little faux black splatter with a pen.

something sweet coming to mft...

A brand new card kit is coming to MFT Stamps and its super sweet! Want to see a little sneak peek? Of course you do, LOL!

In true Carly fashion (because I never have the right colored cardstock on hand), I die cut all the pieces from white cardstock and ink blended them to add colors.

You can't see from the photos but I used glitter paper for the snowy roof and gumdrops. And I ink blended the gumdrops light blue & purple with dye inks and a blending brush.
Set your alarms because this kit drops October 10th and it's so good! I can't wait to show you the other things I've made!

Hugs!

mft gnome for the holidays

Did you check out the adorable new Jenoblade stamps in the MFT shop yesterday? One of my favorites is Gnome for the Holidays!

Gnomes, penguins and a gingerbread house? How can you resist?!!

For this card I made a quick background scene with one of my favorite techniques, emboss resist!

I masked off a section at the top of the card. Then I stamped the gingerbread house in embossing ink and added white embossing powder.

With the masking tape still in place, I heat set the powder and then blended Distress Oxide inks Kitsch Flamingo & Lumberjack Plaid over the top. I love how the embossing resists the ink!

I finished the card by adding a sentiment & purple peguin.

mft xmas selfies

I adore everything in the Jenoblade line at MFT Stamps and I'm extra thrilled that the latest release includes Christmas sets!!!

One of the cutest is Xmas Selfies! How can you resist critters snapping pics of their holiday shenanigans?!

For this card I stamped three of the selfies in Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina on Sno Cone cardstock. I love this ink & cardstock combo!!!

Then I stamped the snowman & kitty selfie on white cardstock and used my paper trimmer to cut it into a square.

I colored with Copics and then adhered it to the Sno Cone panel.

Lastly I stamped the sentiment and added a little faux black splatter with a pen.
