easy layered stamps with mft watercolor flowers

Have you checked out MFT's latest vault release? The sets they have brought out of retirement are so fun!!! Watercolor Flowers is one of those sets...

Do you like multi-step layering stamps? If I'm being really honest, they aren't usually my favorite. Even with a stamping tool, tips, tricks, stamping hacks...I'm not great at lining them up.

BUT the MFT Watercolor Flowers was super fun & easy to work with! Each flower has 4 layers so I started by stamping the base layer in Distress Oxide Spun Sugar (after I stamped a sentiment from Gum Ball Greetings to ground my design).

I stamped the second & third detail layers in Kitsch Flamingo & Saltwater Taffy. And I stamped the two colors at the same time, inking up one side with one color and the other color on the opposite side. Before stamping, I used a blending tool to soften the middle where the colors met. I found the detail layers easy to line up and forgiving when I messed it up a little.

The final layer was the flower center stamped in black.

What do you think?

Thanks so much for stopping by and if you have time, pop over to the MFT blog to see more cards with sets coming out of the vault!

Hugs!
Carly
