Don't you think Fridays deserve a little extra sparkle? I love glitter so much that I couldn't resist glittering the whole background on this gingerbread card!

To create this card...

Look how sparkly it turned out!

And if glitter wasn't enough to make Friday sparkly, you can pick up this set and more on sale at Ellen Hutson LLC today!
Hope you have a wonderful Friday! Hugs!!!

new honey bee!

I've got news to make your Monday a little brighter...Honey Bee has a fabulous new release today!!!

I've been having lots of fun playing with new stamps and dies but today I want to share one of my favorites, the Rejoice stamp set!

Isn't this a beautiful set? And it coordinates with one of my all-time Honey Bee favs, Country Blooms!

To create this card...

  • I did a little stamp surgery to separate the "joy to the world" sentiment from the floral spray. This allowed me to easily frame the sentiment with with the floral spray (no masking needed).
  • I added a few stamped and die cut flowers & leaves from the Country Blooms set.
  • As a finishing touch, I used my Copic markers to color a few white rhinestones so they would match perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Monday!

a merry little shaker

For any of my crafty friends that follow my blog or Instagram, you know that I am more than slightly enamored with shaker cards! I am always looking for dies that will make fun shakers and the Merry Merry die from The Stamp Market is perfect!!!
The Merry Merry die is intricate so to make creating a shaker window easier, I started by running my A2 white cardstock (with a stitched border) through a Xyron to add adhesive to the back. The I die cut the Merry Merry die with a metal adaptor plate (it works as a shim for a really clean cut).
I set aside the letters for another project. I adhered a piece of acetate to the back of the die cut panel, which was super easy because the panel already had adhesive! Then I added the letter "middles" onto the acetate.
For a background behind my shaker, I made a quick DIY ombre glitter paper by scribbling on white cardstock with complimenting Copic markers and then applying a layer of Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste and little chunky glitter. I LOVE Glimmer Paste! I'm on my third jar of Moonstone :)
After assembling the shaker card, I finished with a few holly leaves and rhinestones. And a tip from me...I didn't have any red rhinestones but I had white so I colored them with my Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful, crafty Saturday!

a little witches brew

Halloween is just around the corner and couldn't we all use a little treat? How about a Starbucks gift card packaged in a witches brew frappe?
The Honey Bee Frappe Shake Card die set is super fun to play with! The set comes with the frappe shaped card and also all the fun individual pieces so that it is easy to customize!

I used Distress Ink Carved Pumpkin to create an orange drink with little swirling star stamps & sequins.

For the whipped cream, I applied a layer of Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste. And for the "plastic" frappe lid, I die cut it from vellum and added a little light blue Copic coloring on the back.

Inside the frappe card, I used the Honey Gift Card Pocket die to make a little Starbucks card pocket.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

The latest release from The Stamp Market is making my polka-dot-loving-heart so very happy! Truly I'm thrilled by the whole release but I had to start with the polka dot trees from the No Peeking set!
I stamped the trees in a pool ink and then decided to trim the trees in 3 ways...

Rhinestones

Nuvo Drops
