mft bright eyed and bushy tailed
Have you been checking out the MFT blog this week with all the September release projects? Today one of my favorites is in the spotlight, Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed. There's just something so darn cute about the squirrels!
This card design is one of my favorites! I mask a section and then ink blend. This time I used Distress Oxide Abandoned Coral and Wild Honey. Then I stamp a few elements from the set for a subtle scene. This time it was all leaves in Crackling Campfire ink.
I add a stamped, die cut and colored element like the squirrel. Maybe a few more details (more leaves) and finally a sentiment.Definitely pop over to the MFT blog to see more projects with the latest MFT sets! And thanks for stopping by!Friday, September 22, 2023
mft tool talk & in the toolbox set 2
I need a little input on my latest card and I'd love your help!
I love a lot of white space on cards but have I overdone it on the card using MFT's Tool Talk and In The Toolbox Set 2?
I stamped the sentiment and then positioned the colored die cuts around it with a little faux black splatter (done with a pen). But should I add more of the die cut hammers? Or maybe other tools from the set? I just can't decide.I would love to hear what you think!
And if you're looking for more cards with the latest MFT stamps & dies, head over to the MFT blog.

mft bitty fall leaves + grateful greetings
All right, I'll admit it...I'm obsessed with MFT's Bitty Fall Leaves set! I've had so much fun ink blending little leaves and now using the negative die cut shapes too!
I ink blended the front of a folded card and then added glitter paste on top.
Then I die cut another card panel with the Bitty Fall Leaves, stamped a sentiment from the gorgeous Grateful Greetings set and adhered the panel on top of the glitter paste.Pop over to the MFT blog to see more projects with the latest MFT sets! And thanks for stopping by!

mft touchdown + beating cardmaker's block
I can't get enough of the Jenoblade line at MFT Stamps! The critters are so darn cute! I mean, have you seen the Touchdown set?!
But I'll tell you a secret...sometimes when there are so many adorable stamps in a set, I just don't know where to start. Cardmaker's block!
So what do I do when I have cardmaker's block? I copy myself. I find an old card of mine that has similar elements and I recreate it like this...
OLD CARD:
NEW CARD:
I LOVE the Bold Happy Birthday die and I'm always excited to use it! I die cut the "happy birthday" and then stamped the critters beneath it.Definitely pop over to the MFT blog to see more projects with the latest MFT sets! And thanks for stopping by!

mft september release 2023 release
The MFT Stamps September 2023 release is packed with so many stamps & dies perfect for fall cardmaking and it's available now!!!
I know you are going to want to go check it out but before you pop over to the MFT shop, I've got a quick card to share...
The Jenoblade sets keep knocking my socks off! I'm so smitten with the Corn Maze Cuties set and I'm scared of corn mazes, LOL!For this card I stamped the adorable little puppy on a white card and colored it with Copic markers.
Next I die cut a bunch of the Bitty Fall Leaves and ink blended them with Distress Oxide inks. (BTW, I'm obsessed with these leaves and will be using them SO MUCH!)
After the leaves were dry, I adhered them "falling down" and making a big, happy pile around the puppy.

belated birthday card with mft stamps

MFT has a fabulous release hitting the shop tomorrow and it includes the sweetest set, Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed!I had so much fun coloring the cute little squirrel but it took almost all my crafty time (aka nap time) so I added it to a super simple card.
I masked a small section of the card and ink blended a light pink strip. Easy peasy!Don't forget to pop over to the MFT blog to see more previews of tomorrow's release!

mft christmas poinsettias card kit
The MFT Stamps Christmas Poinsettias card kit just hit the shop and it is so beautiful! I am thrilled for fall but I have to admit to humming Christmas carols the past few days while playing with these gorgeous poinsettias, LOL!
Here's one of the cards I made...
I started by die cutting all the lovely Winter Poinsettia pieces from white cardstock.I used Distress Oxide inks and blending tools to color them. Then I just started adhering pieces to a white card, layering them up with the large poinsettia and holly leaves as the star.
I finished with a stamped sentiment and a few faux black splatters made with a pen.
I highly recommend heading over to the MFT blog to see more of the gorgeous cards my teammates have made!Monday, September 4, 2023
christmas poinsettias coming soon from mft...
There's a beautiful new card kit coming to the MFT shop tomorrow and it feels like Christmas!
Want a quick peek? For this card I used the gorgeous sentiment from the Christmas Wishes stamp set and the poinsettia from the Pressed Poinsettias stamp set.I used blending tools directly on the solid poinsettia stamp to achieve the multi-color image. Should I make a quick video to demonstrate?
Pop over to the MFT blog when you have a chance for more info about the Christmas Poinsettia card kit and see more inspiration!Wednesday, August 23, 2023
mft fall for you
I know it's only August but I'm having so much fun creating cards for fall!
This card has so many things I love...Distress Oxide inks, ink blending, emboss resist and a new Jenoblade set, Fall for You!To create it I masked off the top of the card with some low-tack tape and then stamped the background scene in clear embossing ink. I added clear embossing powder and heat set with the tape still in place.
Then I blended Distress Oxide Dried Marigold and Kitsch Flamingo inks over the embossing (with the tape still in place).
I removed the tape and used a paper towel to wipe excess ink off the embossing.
I added a stamped, die cut & Copic colored bear and sentiment. And I love how it turned out! There's more card ideas on the MFT blog today so I hope you pop over to check them out.Tuesday, August 22, 2023

clean & simple card with mft i chews you
I love cards like this for practicing my coloring skills. And because I usually make a mistake while coloring, I stamp 2 or 3 cards exactly the same so I can color and not feel too disappointed if I have to start over. The bonus is sometimes they all work and I have extra cards to add to my stash.

mft delightful halloween
Have you had a chance to check out all the new MFT Stamps goodies? One of my latest favorites is from one of their newest line Jenoblade, Delightful Halloween!
Scene cards tend to intimidate me a little so I like to make really simple ones. For this card I masked off the top of a card panel and added Distress Oxide Shaded Lilac with a blending tool. With the masking tape still in place (and after letting it dry a little bit), I stamped the haunted house & clouds in Distress Oxide Black Soot.
I used a little foam tape to add a stamped, die cut & colored "batty" fox. And then I stamped the sentiment below him. Easy peasy!
Definitely pop over to the MFT blog to see more projects with the adorable Delightful Halloween!Tuesday, August 15, 2023
mft stamps august 2023 release
The MFT Stamps August 2023 release is packed with stamps & dies sure to be some of your new favorites! I love, love, love so many of the sets and I've been having so much fun creating with them! Before you pop over to the MFT shop to check it out, I've got card to share...
The new Delightful Halloween is very delightful!!! I am so excited for Halloween!!!
For this card I created a really clean & simple shaker. I used the Modern Serif Alphabet to cut the "boo" shaker window. Then I just stamped the ghost & "Happy Halloween" from the Delightful Halloween set around the shaker window.

glossy accents masking + new mft stamps
Masking with Glossy Accents is one of my favorite techniques for cardmaking! Want to see what some Glossy Accents masking looks like with a brand new MFT Stamps set that hits the MFT shop tomorrow?
I started by stamping the gorgeous butterflies from the Butterflies & Blooms set in waterproof black ink on white cardstock. Then I covered the butterflies in Glossy Accents and used a craft pick to help "erase" any that went outside the lines.
I set the panel aside to dry completely (I left it overnight), and then I blended Distress Oxide inks over the top.
The dried Glossy Accents resists the ink and creates a beautiful effect. See the process in this short video...
