Do you ever emboss with you dies? I don't remember to very often but I'm obsessed with the MFT Bold Blooms set and I've been dusting off some forgotten techniques while playing with it!

I'm sharing more about this card on the MFT Stamps YT channel and I would love it if you stopped by!

mft happy occasions card kit

The MFT Stamps Happy Occasions card kit just hit the MFT shop and it's fantastic! I'm obsessed with the Bold Blooms die set and I've been making floral cards non-stop! Wanna see my latest before you pop over to MFT to shop? ;)

I started by ink blending a background because I just love to blend! These Distress Oxide colors - Dried Marigold, Saltwater Taffy & Kitsch Flamingo - are going to be appearing on a lot of my summer cards.

I die cut the All The Happy word from the blended panel after it was dry. Then added a stamped sentiment with the Happy Occasions set. Always make sure to let ink blending dry before stamping to get the clearest impression!

Then I added a few of my favorite flowers from the Bold Blooms set, die cut from white cardstock.

You can see the process in action over on my Instagram today.

And I highly recommend heading over to the MFT blog to see more of the happy cards my teammates have made!

bold birthday card with mft happy occasions card kit

Can you ever have too many birthday cards on hand? I don't think so and I have one to share with you today using the MFT Happy Occasions Card Kit (that hits the MFT shop tomorrow)!
I started by inking some cardstock strips with Distress Oxide inks because I never have the colors of cardstock I want, lol!

I adhered the strips to a piece of printer paper to create the striped background. I probably could have just adhered them to my card front but I wasn't exactly sure what my plan was at first.

Then I added white cardstock flowers, cut with the Bold Blooms set and the "happy" with All The Happy die setI can already see that I am going to be using these sets a TON!

I finished the card with a few black touches...the sentiment stamped with the Happy Occasions set, black flower middles and a little faux black splatter made with a pen.

You can see the process in action over on my Instagram today.

infinity shaker card + mft june release

Do you like to make infinity shaker cards where the shake, shake goes all the way to the edge? I love them! I recently realized I can recycle some of my crafty trash as a shaker pocket so I grabbed some of the MFT Stamps June release and made this...

For the shaker pocket, I used the packaging from an MFT die set.

One of my favorite ways to make an infinity shaker card is to fill the shaker pocket with glitter paper and sequins and add a panel with some negative die cutting on top.

For this card I used the cave die from the Under the Sea set. I added a stamped sentiment from the One-of-a-Kind and then decorated the shaker panel with a mermaid & extras from Mermaid for Each Other.
Finally I adhered the whole shaker pocket to a folded card.
Check out more of the June release on the MFT blog and if you want to see more about the way this card came together, pop over to my Instagram today.

surfing dino card + mft june countdown day 1

Have you ever seen a dinosaur surfing on a card? Me either until I made one!

We're counting down to the MFT Stamps June release and it includes the cutest summer-y dino set, Ages of Fun!

I made a circle window and used glitter paper for the "sky" and tissue paper for the "waves".

Looking at my dino now, I think orange & blue might have been the wrong color choice. Maybe I'll make this card again with pink. What do you think?

Pop over to the MFT blog when you have a chance to see more cute dino cards.

glitter + unicorns + mft june countdown day 2

Is there anything more magical than a unicorn? How about a unicorn on a donut floatie in a sparkly pool?

I obviously had fun creating this card with the One-of-a-Kind Friend set, LOL! I used the Pastures, Ponds & Pool stencil to ink blend a pool and then I added some Glossy Accents and glitter. (Pop over to my Instagram today and see the process.)

Then I stamped, die cut and colored the adorable unicorn and foam mounted it in the pool.

Finally I added the sentiment and a little faux black splatter with a pen.

Want to see more unicorn cards with the One-of-a-Kind Friend set? Then head over to the MFT blog today and mark your calendars for Tuesday's release!

proud to love you + mft june countdown day 3

A handmade card is a great way to celebrate pride month & tell someone how much you love exactly who they are! And there's a beautiful new sentiment set coming next week in the MFT Stamps June release called Pride Is For Everyone!

I started with a kraft card and added a rainbow by die cutting the Wavy Rainbow set from watercolor cardstock and painting it with Distress inks.

Then I used the Sign Of The Times set and die cut the sign and hands holding it. I stamped a sentiment from the Pride Is For Everyone set on the sign and colored the hands with Copics before adhering them together and foam mounting it over the rainbow on the card.

adding color without coloring + mft june countdown day 4

What do you do when you want to make a colorful card but you don't have time to color a cute stamped image?

I'll show you what I do...

I love the little grandpa from the new MFT Being A Grandparent Is The Best set and I thought he would be adorable on a birthday card but I had no time to color. So here's what I did...

I stamped a little party hat borrowed from the Presents and Pupcakes set. Then I covered it with a little sticky note mask and stamped the grandpa leaning in from the edge.

I added just a spot of color with a Copic marker on the hat & shorts.

Then I added the die word "happy", colored by ink blending Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina & Tumbled Glass.

Finally I stamped the "wishing..." sentiment above the die cut word.

clean & simple mermaid card + mft june countdown day 5

Does anyone else think it's going to be the summer of mermaids & Barbie pink? I certainly do! And I'm excited to include those things in my cardmaking so I'm thrilled about one of the new MFT Stamps sets about to hit the shop in the June 2023 release...

How cute is the Mermaid For Each Other set?!

Clean & simple is my go-to cardmaking style so I had to create a CAS card with the new Mermaid For Each Other set. I used the wavy die from the Island Paradise set to create a DIY cardstock stencil and then ink blended the ocean with Distress Oxide inks.

Then I stamped, die cut and colored a mermaid & a jellyfish from the Mermaid For Each Other set.

Once the ink blended ocean was dry, I stamped a few starfish and foam mounted the jellyfish & mermaid on top.

Quick tip...if you want to stamp over Distress Oxide ink blending, make sure it is dry or the stamped images will appear faded.
