3 cards with 1 stamp & ardyth’s 3k yt subscriber celebration

I'm thrilled to be joining my wonderful friend Ardyth in celebrating her awesome YT channel! And today I want to share 3 cards I've made with 1 stamp as a way to jumpstart my crafty mojo!

Sometimes when I'm not feeling crafty, I pull out a few products and see what I can make with just those.
For these cards, I used 1 Essentials by Ellen stamp, 3 colors of Catherine Pooler inks...and I love the results!
You can see a little bit more about how these cards together in this video...

If you are hopping with us and have gotten turned around, find the complete list on Ardyth's blog.

And there are lots of great prizes so leave a comment on my YouTube video to be entered to win!

little moon shaker with neat & tangled

After stamping the new Neat & Tangled Starry Sky Background, I loved it so much that I wasn't sure what to add. LOL! Isn't is so dreamy?!

Not surprisingly, I finally decided to add a shaker window but just a tiny one.

I wanted the background of the little moon shaker to match the embossed Starry Sky Background so I made my own little piece of gold paper by swiping embossing ink on a scrap of cardstock, adding the same embossing powder I used with the stamp and then heating.

stamped shaker card with neat & tangled

The Luna Moth in Neat & Tangled's Moon Magic set is so beautiful that I couldn't resist using it in my favorite kind of card, a shaker card!
I stamped the moth on acetate and added a little color behind it with Copic Markers and glitter paper. You can see more in this quick process video...

galaxy cards with neat & tangled

I love inking up galaxy backgrounds and they are a match made in heaven for the Neat & Tangled Moon And Stars set! I couldn't resist creating some galaxy "sections" for these cards.

It is also fun as a border on a landscape card...

my favorite shaker card + new neat & tangled

I absolutely love shaker cards and there is one card design I use all the time because it always looks fab (if I do say so myself, LOL)...

Neat & Tangled has this beautiful new Moon Magic set and their gorgeous Like Magic sequins are back too! This set was just begging me to make a shaker!

Here's the formula for my favorite shaker...

  • a glittery background...sometimes I use glitter paper and sometimes I make my own like this with Cracked Pistachio ink under a good layer of Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste
  • a circle window, die cut from the top cardstock panel and backed with acetate
  • foam tape creates the shaker "container"
  • sequins in the shaker
  • a curved sentiment (it's easy to shape a straight stamp into a curve on the MISTI or acrylic block)
  • a colored die cut like the Luna Moth from the Moon Magic set

brayered backgrounds + color crush blog hop

Welcome to The Stamp Market's Color Crush blog hop!!! I'm so happy you are here to talk about TSM's yummy new goodies! Specifically let's talk about inks and brayered backgrounds!

You should be arriving from my sweet friend Carissa's blog (and you can find the whole hop list over on the The Stamp Market's blog).
The Stamp Market ink pads are a juicy but firm foam that provide a perfectly crisp impression and the colors are bananas! And bananas is good!
The pads are great for not only stamping but also direct to paper techniques and creating brayered backgrounds like I used for my cards. Today I'm created abstract, tie-dye-ish backgrounds with 3 colors...

Here's a quick video of the brayered background technique...

To turn my inked panels into cards, I added some positive & negative die cuts and some enamel dots (the supplies are listed below). And I kept all additions black & white so those gorgeous pinks would still pop!

The next stop on our hop is the amazing Laura Bassen's colorful blog! I'm headed there too because I can't wait to see what she created!!!

And you can see the whole Color Crush collection HERE!

Thanks so much for stopping by and hugs!
