i'm in a very valentine mood right now so i've decided to just embrace the hearts & pink! and i've been dying to use tulle on something so here is my latest:
-i started with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 white card. from the front of my card i cut off two 1 x 5-1/2 strips and i saved both.
-i stamped my sentiment in versafine.
-then i cut a piece of tulle to fit my card and i used micropore tape to temporarily adhere it to my card front while also adhering one of the 1 x 5-1/2 strip on the end. then i secured the tulle by machine stitching on the top and bottom. this forms the 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card front with a tulle "window".
-on the inside of the card, i adhered a piece of crystal clear plastic to stabilize the front of the card.
-i covered the visible stitching and adhesive on the inside be adhering the other 1 x 5-1/2 and a 2-1/4 x 5-1/2.
-to decorate my tulle window, i die cut hearts and watercolored them with distress inks.
-finally i adhered my watercolored hearts and some clear sequins to my tulle with ranger multi matte medium.
thanks for stopping by!
xo,
carly
