In case you haven't used Distress Oxide inks yet (and I highly recommend you do), here's a quick bit about them...
- they are a hybrid of pigment & dye inks
- they are water-reactive, creating a "oxidized" effect when you add water
- they blend beautifully
- they are fun to watercolor with
- and because they are part pigment, you can layer colors without getting "mud"
And I love this layered resist technique! You create a background with inks & water. Stamp & emboss an image in clear. Then finish by adding another color! Here's a quick video of the process:
