bokeh sky

wasn't the essentials by ellen winter release hop yesterday super fun?! the new essentials stamps & dies that julie ebersole designed are so awesome! and so were the amazing projects everyone designed! i was super inspired to create more with the new stuff.

i started this watercolored background a week ago with no real idea what i was doing but i finally finished it...
-i started with a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 bristol panel. on it, i used distress ink to watercolor a background.
-when my background was dry, i used white pigment ink and different sized circles from the essentials by ellen bokeh dot stamp set to create something like a bokeh effect.
-i die cut clouds from bristol and vellum. then i stitched the cloud layers together with the vellum just slightly offset.

-i cut a sun from gold foil.

-then i created my sentiment with 3 "wonderful" die cuts adhered together. i paired the dimensional wonderful with stamps from essentials by ellen totally awesome set.

-and of course, gold sequins!
happy wednesday!

carly
