1 stamp 3 ways - watercolor wash

today i'm sharing the last of the 3 cards i made using the super cute doodle background stamp from pinkfresh. here it is:
i stamped and embossed the doodle background on a piece of smooth bristol that i masked off with blue tape.
then i used distress inks to apply a light watercolor wash, starting at the stamped end and getting lighter as it spread.

i die cut some flowers and leaves from smooth bristol using the essentials by ellen bohemian garden set. then i stamped the doodle background in distress inks on the flowers & leaves and used a waterbrush to blend the color.

i created the "you are wonderful" sentiment by stamping and embossing "you are" in white (which is very hard to see in this pic, sorry). and then i added the die cut wonderful.

p.s. in addition to using the same stamps for all my cards this week, i've also been using the same color palette in both distress inks and clean color real brush markers. the colors don't match exactly between the two mediums but they go together nicely. here's a comparison:
