colored glitter wreath

Today I want to share another card using the new Essentials by Ellen Homespun Holiday stamp & die sets and another way to achieve a colored glitter effect (you can check out my card with Copic colored glitter from earlier this week here).
To create this card, start by stamping the wreath and sentiment on to smooth watercolor cardstock.
Next watercolor the wreath. I used Distress inks, they are one of my favorite multi-tasking supplies.

While watercolor is drying, die cut the coordinating wreath die from double-sided adhesive. Remove one side of the liner paper from adhesive and place it over the watercolor wreath.
Remove the remaining liner paper and apply transparent glitter. Burnish glitter into adhesive with finger.
It's like a custom glitter overlay! Cool right?!
And look at that sparkle!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

xo,
Carly

P.S. My sweet hubby helped with capturing the sparkle on film...

Aww, Carly, you are a girl after my own heart! One can never have enough sparkle! This card is simple elegance, just lovely! Love the action photo of your hubby shining the lights on to capture it all! So sweet! Larissa

I love the tape and glitter technique over the watercolour. I never would have thought of that!
