ink blending & the mft stamps april release countdown day 5

Ink blending is one of my most favorite cardmaking techniques! It is such an easy way to add color to a handmade card when you are short on time (or maybe even a little intimidated at the thought of coloring a stamped image).

I've got a super simple ink blended card to share today and it includes a peek at one of the new MFT April 2022 stamp sets.

The MFT Winged Wonders set is so beautiful but honestly I felt a little intimidated at the thought of coloring the butterflies. And while I will definitely practice that, I decided to start with some super simple ink blending.

I masked a square on my card front and blended Distress Oxide inks Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Shaded Lilac and Salvaged Patina.

Then I stamped the Winged Wonders in black along with the sentiment. And I added a little faux splatter with a black pen.

To see more of the MFT April release, pop over to their blog.

And thanks for stopping by!
