here is a little sneak peek for miss samantha from our session in "the field" last week. you all may have noticed that i'm a bit obsessed with "the field" and i'm dragging just about everyone i can out there. it's just so pretty! and look how adorable miss samantha's kiddos look in "the field"...thanks for playing in "the field" with me guys!

sometimes you just need chocolate

and sometimes you really need brownies. you're with me right? well i'm lucky enough to be working at home today so i was able to take a short break to make these little babies...yum! it's the easiest (& i think best) recipe from rachel ray...

preheat your oven to 350. grease a 9x9 pan. combine 2 cups of sugar with 1 1/2 sticks of melted butter. whisk in 3 eggs, 1 at a time. stir in 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder and 1 cup of flour. pour batter into pan and bake until just set, about 25 to 30 minutes. cool and enjoy!

actually that's kate. you know kate, she's one of my favorite models & sweet girls, and my good friend tammy t's daughter. well miss kate was alice this weekend. it was a belated birthday gift for miss kate and a super fun project for me. i will have tons of photos to share but for now (because i'm lost under a wonderful mountain of editing), here's just a quick look a the beautiful miss kate...thanks miss kate, you were a lovely alice! and thanks to all our helpers!

yay for the farm chicks show!

so where do i start? shaun, tammy t & i left on thursday and had a little road trip to spokane. it involved lots of caffeine and candy. then friday started with set-up. this is what our booth looked when we started, just a cute little patch of floor with one of serena's clouds...

halfway through the day, shaun went to airport to pick-up kelly. (can you believe she flew in from denver? isn't she a good friend?! cute too!) so then it was shaun & his 3 blondes. we finished setting up and our booth looked like this...

saturday when the show started our booth looked like this...

and it was such a blast! everyone at the show was so incredibly nice, customers and vendors. we all had so much fun. we didn't get out of our booth too much to shop but we did get over to summerland style's booth (she's another bellingham girl) to say hi and check out her rocking cool furniture and pillows. and we peeked ever so quickly at retreat, wished we could have spent hours...they are so awesome! really the show went by in such a flash, we were all sad to see it go!

on monday we had breakfast at the sweetest cafe, madeleine's. and we were thrilled to see one of our products on display, our dessert tin photo holders.

thank you to madeleine's, you made our monday. thank you to all the amazing farm chicks customers and vendors, it was wonderful to spend the weekend with you! thank you to serena for inviting us for the show! thank to tammy t and kelly, you are amazing best friends and we couldn't have done it without you! and thank you to my wonderful husband shaun for everything!

hello from the farm chicks show

hi everyone!

we are here at the show and we are having such an amazing time! it's all flying by and i forgot to bring all my blogging "equipment" but my best buddy kelly (who's awesome & came from denver for the fun) at least took this picture of the booth before all the craziness started.
i promise to share more about our farm chicks adventure when we make it home but for now i'll just say again, it's AMAZING!

show sneak peek...

just wanted to give you all another little sneak peek of what you'll be seeing in our carly tee photography & design booth #169 & 170 at the farm chicks show this weekend. we are so excited we can barely sleep! well excitement isn't the only thing keeping us up, we're totally still busy getting ready but anyways...

here is our photo ladder:
it is metal on a wood base that stands about 5 feet tall and fits 12x12 photos perfectly. and since my handsome hubby is really responsible for the construction, i think i'm allowed to say that i think it is super cool.
