mft roller skate

I used to LOVE roller skating but I haven't been in decades, lol! And while I'm sadly not going again any time soon, at least I can make roller skating cards!

The Roller Skate die set comes with all the pieces to create a retro skate complete with rainbow design. Exactly the kind I had growing up BTW. And the pieces have beautiful stitched details too!

I die cut everything from white cardstock and added color with Distress Oxide inks and blending brushes.

I created a circle shaker window and shaped a sentiment from the Let the Good Time Roll around it. And the background is pink ink and glitter paste.

mft micest friends

MFT Stamps says the Micest Friend set is cheesy in the best way possible and I think this card is too, LOL!

After stamping, die cutting and coloring a couple of cute mice, I paired them with one of my favorite phrase dies, Bold Happy Birthday

I used the negative die cut, saving the letters for another project. And I colored behind "happy birthday" bright yellow with some darker dots (drawn with colored pencil) to mimic the cheese.

For "gouda friend", I masked part of the sentiment stamp with low-tack tape before inking and then removed the tape to stamp.

mft soda pop

The MFT Soda Pop stamps and dies are soda-lightful! LOL! I've already used the set to make a shaker card (ICYMI you can see it here) and I thought it would make a cute Valentine too!

I die cut the soda bottle and colored the top with pale blue Copic markers for glass. Then I used a little piece of low-tack tape to mask the "glass" and added Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry ink with a blending tool.

I stamped the sentiment in black and foam mounted the soda bottle below.

Finally I stamped a few hearts with Cool Christmas Greetings with the Picked Raspberry ink and used a white pen to add a highlight so that hopefully they looked like bubbles.

mft squish friends

Have you seen the adorable MFT Squish Friends stamp set? Not only is it the cutest but my kids have recently become obsessed with Squishmallows so this set feels extra perfect!

For this card I started by stamping, die cutting and coloring the cute puppy with the kitty Squishmallow.

I used the Essential Alphabet to die cut "hugs" for a shaker window. And then I stamped part of a sentiment above it.

TIP: to mask part of a sentiment stamp, just cover it with a piece of low-tack tape before inking and then remove tape before stamping.

mft december 2023 release

The MFT Stamps December release is available right now and it's so ADORABLE!!! I'm excited for you to see it but before you go, I have a card to share!

I always say that I've never seen a die that I didn't want to turn into a shaker window and this Soda Pop set is certainly no exception!

For the background I colored a little blue Copic for the glass. I ink blended Distress Oxide Carved Pumpkin next, leaving some "glass" at the top. Next I added a little glitter paste on top of the orange.

After making and filling the shaker, I topped it with a panel with the negative soda pop die cut, a stamped sentiment and a straw.

cute stuff coming to mft stamps...

MFT Stamps has a crazy cute and seriously sweet release hitting the shop tomorrow! Do you want a little peek? Of course you do!!!

Jenoblade, one of my favorite illustrators, has three new sets coming! This Crafty Friends is one of those sets and it is adorable!

For this card I masked a section at the top of the card and applied Distress Oxide Kitsch Flamingo with a blending brush. When it was dry, I stamped some images in Picked Raspberry.

It creates a simple little strip of scene and it's perfect for the crafty little puppy that I stamped, die cut and colored.

I finished by adhering the puppy to the card with foam tape, stamping the sentiment and adding a little faux black splatter with a pen.

Don't forget to pop over to the MFT blog to see more previews of tomorrow's release!
