One of my favorite cards to make is a shaker card and one of my favorite ways to make a shaker window is with word dies...
I love the SBC Christmas Block Words die set so much! This is not the first time I've used the "merry" to make a shaker window.
For this card made a wrapped shaker pocket with the pink from the Vacation paper pad inside. (You can see the technique in this past video.)
I die cut "merry" from Mixed Media paper first (the best for shaker windows because it is so thick) and saved the R middles. At the bottom right of "merry" I stamped "christmas". I used the Mini Circle Sentiments and masked part of the "merry christmas" one by placing low-tack tape over the "merry" and inking the stamp, then removing the tape and stamping on to the cardstock.
Then I die cut the "merry" again but this time from the red cardstock in the Sunshine paper pad.
I adhered the window panel to the shaker pocket and then inlaid the red "merry" and added the R middles too. A few faux splatters made with a pen and ta-da!
I definitely recommend stopping by Scrapbook.com to see more about their Christmas in July celebration!
And thanks for stopping by here too!
Hugs!
Carly

Your shaker card is absolutely beautiful! I love the combination of the pink and red, and the "merry" die-cut window adds such a fun touch. The faux splatters are a nice little finishing detail, too! Scrapbook.com’s Christmas in July celebration sounds like a blast!
By the way, if you're thinking of ways to decorate for a Christmas party, have you considered Christmas Neon Signs? They’d add a fun, festive glow to your celebration! You could create personalized signs like “Merry Christmas” or even fun holiday phrases, and they’d make a vibrant addition to your party décor. It’s a great way to light up the season!
Carly, your shaker card is absolutely stunning! I love how you used the "merry" word die to create such a fun and festive window. The pink and red combination is perfect for a cheerful holiday vibe.
For an extra touch of holiday magic, you could decorate your space with Christmas Neon Signs! They would add a warm and vibrant glow, making your room feel even more festive.
Thanks for sharing your creativity—this card is truly inspiring! Happy crafting!
Just wanted to drop in and say the Disney LA Strong T-Shirt is such a cool find. I came across it while browsing for some Disney merch with a local twist, and this one really stood out. It’s got that classic Disney vibe but also reps LA pride in a subtle, stylish way.
The fit is great too – soft material, true to size, and holds up well after a couple washes. Definitely recommend it if you’re a Disney fan from SoCal or just want something unique that blends both worlds.
Anyone know if there are other city-themed Disney shirts like this? I’d collect a few if they’re out there!
If anyone's looking for legal support, I had a really positive experience with the Kitchin Law Firm. They were professional, responsive, and genuinely took the time to understand my case. What stood out most was how clearly they explained everything—no confusing legal jargon. If you're dealing with a legal issue and want a firm that actually cares, I'd definitely recommend reaching out to Kitchin Law Firm.
