1 stamp, 3 ways - totally fabulous ink blending

Originally I challenged myself to use 1 stamp 3 ways each month as a way to give love to some of my unused stamps sets. But often I choose my favorites, hee hee. And I'm playing favorites again this month!
I love the Organic Blooms set from Mama Elephant and I had a blast creating 3 cards with it! Here is the first:
To create this card, start by stamping the image off the edge of a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of smooth watercolor cardstock. I always choose Smooth Bristol.
Next stamp again on masking paper. Since the masking paper is white and I'm usually working on a white background, I stamp in a color different from the one I'm using on my project. I also choose something permanent so I can't smudge it and fast drying because I'm impatient.
Cut out the mask and place on project.
Apply Distress Inks with an ink blending tool, starting lightest shade first. I find the key to ink blending is a smooth paper and lots of ink on the tool.
Once ink is blended to perfection, remove mask and admire handy work.

Then get back to work and add a die cut sentiment. Totally Fabulous from Essentials by Ellen has a fun pop-up factor. Just put a little black cardstock behind it before mounting to a card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Carly
