1 stamp, 3 ways - watercolor foliage

I have been ready for October since March, LOL! I love everything about it...crisp air, cool temps, cloudy Seattle weather, pumpkin flavored ANYTHING and the colorful changing leaves! Fall is pretty much the only time I can appreciate the outdoors, the rest of the year I'm incredibly "indoorsy". To celebrate my fall loves, I have 3 cards using this 1 awesome set this week:
I started with a simple no-line watercolor card:
To create this card, stamp leaves on a smooth watercolor card (like Bristol) in a Distress ink that will match your watercoloring. I used Spiced Marmalade and I stamped first onto scrap paper so that the image would be lighter.
There are lots of ways to no-line watercolor but my favorite is Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Just doodle on some color and blend with a waterbrush. Then keep going until you like it!
When you're happy with the color, let dry and add details with gold paint. This is the first time I've tried the metallic Gansai Tambi and I love it! I used it to add veins to my leaves, splatter and half of my sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

xo,
Carly
