Ok, now let's talk about what I made!

The new Avian Allure set is GORGEOUS! There is a stamp set along with coordinating stencils & dies, which makes it beyond easy to create something fabulous! 

Something else really cool about the set is that the images (birds, flowers & leaves) are one big stamp so you can easily stamp, stencil and die cut. And there is still tons of versatility to stamp individual flowers like I did on my card. Let me tell you more...

I started by stenciling flowers with a combo of Distress Oxide inks (Salvaged Patina, Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry & Black Soot). 

After stenciling, I stamped the outline layer over the stenciled flowers with Black Soot ink and then die cut them.

To create the simple background on my card I used low-tack tape to mask around the large flower, inked it and then removed the tape before stamping on to my card front. Masking the physical stamp is such an easy way to stretch your stamps!

I added the color flowers with foam tape, stamped the little "happy birthday" from the Birthday Bouquet set and finally used a black pen to dot on a little faux splatter.
