glittered watercolor popsicle

things are super sparkly over in the classroom at ellen hutson this week and i LOVE glitter so i decided to play along! don't have to ask me twice to get glittery!

so for today's card i started with a watercolored popsicle and then glittered the whole panel...
to create this card, stamp outline of popsicle and use distress inks to watercolor.

add a sentiment. i added "get well soon" from the pretty pink posh rainy days set after learning one of my favorite people is having a rough week.

when ink and watercolor is dry, cut a piece of double-sided adhesive to cover whole panel. i always cut mine just a bit larger than the panel to make it easier to apply and then i trim off the excess.
remove liner paper from adhesive, careful not to touch it with your fingers. add glitter, shake off excess and "burnish" the glitter into the adhesive by rubbing with your fingers.
the pictures don't really do the sparkles justice! and hopefully it brings a smile to my little friend's face.

thanks for stopping by!

xo,
carly
