stamping with spray

My bottle of Heidi Swapp Patina Color Shine has been sitting on my desk since I created my last card and I'm pretty sure it has been whispering, "Use me, love me, I'm your very favorite shade of green...". And it's right. Even though ink sprays can be messy, especially in my hands, I just love it. And it coordinates beautifully with my favorite Distress color, Cracked Pistachio.
I created white rectangles on my card front by placing pieces of masking paper on my cardstock and then applying Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink with a blending tool.

The Essentials by Ellen Totally Awesome stamps create the perfect sentiments inside my white rectangles (I actually measured the masking paper to make sure but sometimes it's still a surprise when it works, LOL!)

And to add the abstract flowers, I misted the flower stamp with the Patina Color Shine and stamped. It's a little messy but I love the effect and I love the way it shimmers! To help contain the over spray, I mist my stamps in my paper wastebasket.

Thanks for stopping by and hope your Sunday is lovely!

Hugs!
Carly
