sweet christmas card + ebe christmas in july hop

My personal cardmaking philosophy is that it is never too early to start making holiday cards and today I'm joining with some awesome crafters who agree! We are hopping today with a little Essentials by Ellen Christmas in July cardmaking hop!
If you are hopping with us, you should be arriving from the AMAZING Sandy Allnock's blog! And if you want to start the hop, head over to the Ellen Hutson blog.
My card today is all about sweets! I love candy and I had so much fun making little paper sweets to top an infinity shaker.

You can see how it came together in this video...

Before you hop along (though I'm the last stop), we have a little prize! Tell me when & what you will be crafting for the holidays because one random & lucky commenter will win $25 to the EH shop! To enter for a chance to win, make sure to leave comments at each stop along the hop! Comment before Wednesday, July 31st at 11:59pm PST. Winners will be notified by email.

And one last thing, if you want to pick up this sweet Essentials by Ellen Ginger House stamp, it's on sale this weekend! Check out the other holiday goodies on special HERE!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!
Carly

Wow Carly! You've put so much thought into this card! This is thinking out of the box, for sure & I LOVE it! I enjoyed watching your video & it sounded like you enjoyed the process of making this delightful card. I think the first Christmas card I'm going to make will involve trees, snow & a couple of deer so it will be a peaceful looking one when it's done. I hope...

So super sweet... I love gum drops. Especially spiced gum drops. I am having some issues about my holiday cards this year. I am going to have carpal tunnel surgery on both hands in late September. I may not send all home made cards this year. However I am getting some fabulous ideas on this hop even if I can't use them till next year. One can only hope for the best, right....

I shouldn't admit it but I'm a
procrastinator. I won't be
making a decision on my cards
until around the first of Dec.
I don't put a lot of decorations
out anymore, so I probably
won't make anything new, other
than my cards. Love you
candy scene - so much detail.
thanks for sharing

How FUN and creative!!! And looks so yummy too! The candy looks so realistic, its making my mouth water. 😋 You really hit this one out of the park.

You were having so much fun making this card, love all the candy ideas. Neat idea of the shaker pocket too. Simple and less complicated than the sandwich type. The eyes worked very well. Would like to do a snow globe design this year...hopefully starting in August. I usually make several different designs as I get bored just sticking to one design.

adorable card, thanks for sharing

Such a cute card! I love the wrappers to make the candy even more realistic. I make all of the Christmas cards we send, and I like to start early, but it doesn't always happen that way. This year I hope to do some crafting for our first grandchild coming in September ... definitely a onesie, and maybe a stocking or cute hat or something else.
