carly tee: hello sweetie

i'm crazy for the amazing messy and loose watercolor cards by the super talented julie ebersole and yoonsun hur like this one and this one. i decided to try one too:

-on a 3.25 x 5 piece of smooth bristol i stamped "hello sweetie" with the mama elephant bella letters, a little nod to doctor who. (yes i am a big dork and the doctor is back on september 19th...yay!)

-then i stamped the candy images from the essentials by ellen clear stamps elf'd set with versafine onyx black.

-i watercolored the candy with distress inks.

-before adhering the watercolored panel to a 3.5 x 5 solar white card, i cut a .25 strip of the pink strip patterned paper from the mft dot & strips sorbet pad and adhered that to the card front.

the card came together super easy except it was hard for me to paint outside the lines. i need a little more work with "loose" watercolor...lol!
