wild garden + pattern

it's gorgeous here in the pnw today and while i don't normally care too much about the weather (since i'm kind of an indoor girl), the sun did inspire me to create this brightly colored floral card.
-i started with a 3.5 x 5 piece of smooth bristol (my favorite watercolor paper and my favorite size), and i watercolored a loose green background with grass green from the joanne sharpe set of peerless watercolors.

-then i die cut a few flowers with the essentials by ellen designer dies wild garden set from solar white. i adhered the die cuts to patterned papers from the my favorite things sorbet pad and fussy cut around them.

-the leaves are from the essentials by ellen clear stamps thankful set and i stamped them in lawn fawn celery stick before die cutting them with the coordinating die.

-when my watercolored background was dry, i adhered all of my leaves and flowers to it, using 3d foam adhesive on the largest flower.

hope you are having a sunny saturday too!

xo,
carly
