foiled wood

my love affair with minc toner products and foiling continues as i have recently added minc art screen ink to my supplies. for the first test drive, i decided to use the ink with one of my favorite stencils and here's the result:
i started by taping my stencil down over a piece of wood veener paper. i used a squeegee to spread the screen ink.

i let the screen ink dry overnight.

i placed a piece of heidi swapp ombre foil over the wood piece and ran it through my laminator.
here are the results, wood paper on the left and solar white on the right. there were a few little white spots where the foil didn't stick, which show on the wood but not the solar white. and i actually kinda like them, it looks a little distressed.
my sentiment was created with black cardstock & a savvy "love" die combined with "you" from the essentials by ellen mondo magnolia set, all on a circle of vellum.

thanks for stopping by!

carly
